Lick Honest Ice Creams Announces Hemisfair Location

Summer temperatures are already underway, but downtown visitors can soon find a cool relief from the sun's powerful rays.
Lick Honest Ice Creams will open its second San Antonio location in June at the Smith House located in Hemisfair Park. The 720-square-foot building resembles a historic cottage from the 1840s and that will be echoed in the design of the eatery.
According to a recent press release, co-founder Anthony Sobotik said the Hemisfair location was the perfect fit.
"When we began searching for a second location in San Antonio two years ago we knew we wanted to be part of the energy and history of Hemisfair," Sobotik said. "When I saw this house, I instantly knew we found Lick's second home in San Antonio."

Lick Honest Ice Creams is known for its originality and purest flavors. In fact, the company's use of locally sourced ingredients helps to craft unique flavors inspired by Texas ingredients. For the opening menu in June, Lick plans to offer flavors like tres leches, yellow rose and elderberry, strawberry cream pie, and many of their other classics.
Sobotik and co-owner Chad Palmatier founded the Austin-based company in 2011 before opening at the Pearl in 2014. The Hemisfair location will be the company's fifth shop to open in Texas.
