About Chase:

Chase Rogers is a recent graduate of Texas State University’s School of Mass Communication and Journalism, where he received a bachelor’s of science in journalism and mass communication in May 2020.

In addition to his studies, he was the news editor of Texas State’s student-run, award-winning newspaper The University Star, where he served a growing and diverse student body of nearly 40,000 through a weekly print product, daily online content and social media.

He was a reporting fellow for Hays Free Press & News Dispatch and covered city hall for the cities of Dripping Springs and Wimberley, county elections, the 2020 census and breaking news. Between these two publications, he has produced content diving into criminal justice reform, elections, the census, university advancement, COVID-19 and breaking news.
